About Prayer Times in North East
North East spans 54.6°N to 55°N. Prayer times across the region are close, usually within a few minutes of each other.
Because of the region's northerly position, the sun does not go far enough below the horizon for astronomical darkness from about mid-May to late July. Standard Fajr and Isha angles do not work then, so calculators and mosques use an adjustment such as the "nearest day" or "1/7th of the night" rule, or the Moonsighting Committee's seasonal times.
Times on this page use MWL (Fajr 18°, Isha 17°) · Hanafi Asr. Individual mosques may make local adjustments — check your mosque's noticeboard for its Jamaat times.
